I am delighted to be able to offer Assistance Dog training as a service. As can be expected, the waiting lists for charity trained dogs are long and the road to achieving Public Access Test standards is not always easy. I won't be asking for monthly subscriptions and my normal fee's will apply, but I will instead be asking for my handlers to be committed to training with their dogs in order to progress well together as effective teams. The role of an Assistance Dog is to act as an auxiliary aid and as such before we can start work in public I will need to see two documents. 1, A copy of your letter of diagnosis 2, A copy of your dogs insurance documents (at least public liability) After that we will get together for an informal chat about your dog, your dogs current training achievements and how your dog may help you.
My current fee's are 1-1 at my venue £25, Home visits/Out in public £80 plus 40p per mile travel, Puppy/Life skills 6 week course £100, Other group sessions £12.50 PAYG.
I am very sorry to say that although I am happy to help with behavioural problems, dogs with behavioural problems are likely to be unsuitable to become Assistance Dogs.
